Palm Seed Planting Drive Conducted by Voice of Tenkasi Foundation at Periyakulam

A palm seed planting event was held at Subramaniapuram Vellanaikottai Periyakulam near Puliangudi, organized by the Voice of Tenkasi Foundation. On the International Day of Indigenous Peoples, cultural performances were held across various locations in the Tenkasi district to celebrate and highlight the rich heritage of indigenous communities. E-shram Card Registration Camp at Shankarankoil

The Voice of Tenkasi Foundation organized an E-shram labor card registration camp on Saturday, July 20, at Sankarankoil Commercial Vaisya Sangha High School. The camp ran from 8 am to 1 pm and was open to various workers, including agricultural laborers, weavers, nut sellers, matchbox workers, brick kiln workers, wood cutters, packers, carpenters, sericulture workers, jewelers, construction workers, domestic workers, hairdressers, newsagents, hired vehicle drivers, and silk production workers.

Voice of Tenkasi Foundation Celebrates Kamarajar's 122nd Birthday

The Voice of Tenkasi Foundation and Kalamin Kanavugal Foundation Library in Surandai celebrated the 122nd birthday of Perunthalaivar Kamarajar with educational skill development competitions. Founder Ananthan Ayyasamy awarded prizes to the winners and top students in the 10th, 11th, and 12th grades. Ananthan Ayyasamy highlighted Kamaraj’s contributions to education, industrial development, and agriculture, calling his rule the golden age of Tamil Nadu.

Community Initiative in Tenkasi: New Bus Stop Inauguration and Tree Planting

The Voice of Tenkasi Foundation, led by founder Ananthan Ayyasamy, recently took a significant step to enhance community infrastructure and environmental sustainability in Kottai AnnaNagar under Pudur Taluk Rajagopalapperi Panchayat. Responding to the public’s needs, the foundation established a new bus stop to provide convenience and ease of travel for local residents. In addition to this, saplings were planted to promote greenery and environmental health in the area.

The event was inaugurated by Rajagopalapperi Panchayat Council Chairman Krishnajayanthi. The occasion saw active participation from volunteers of the Voice of Tenkasi Foundation as well as the general public of AnnaNagar, reflecting strong community spirit and cooperation.

Free Medical Insurance Registration and Health card Distribution Event in Puliangudi Organized by Voice of Tenkasi Foundation

In Tenkasi on July 1st, the Voice of Tenkasi Foundation organized the registration and distribution of health cards under the Central Government’s free medical insurance scheme worth 5 lakhs at Puliangudi. Over 300 individuals registered for the program, with more than 150 beneficiaries receiving their medical insurance cards. Ananthan Ayyasamy, founder of the Voice of Tenkasi Foundation, inaugurated the program and personally distributed the medical insurance cards. The event saw participation from community elders, national leaders, BJP representatives, and volunteers from the Voice of Tenkasi Foundation.

Free Bank Account Book Distribution at Pulyangudi Swayambulingam Higher Secondary School, Tenkasi District

Under the Pradhan Mantri Yojana scheme of the Central Government, free bank account books were distributed to students of Pulyangudi Swayambulingam Higher Secondary School, Tenkasi District, along with their parents. Organized in collaboration with the State Bank of India (SBI), the event saw participation from over 200 beneficiaries. Gurusamy Pandian, Secretary of Swayambulingam School, presided over the ceremony, while Ananthan Ayyasamy, founder of the Voice of Tenkasi Foundation, inaugurated the project.

On June 30, 2024, the Angel Matriculation Higher Secondary School in Sankarankovil hosted a remarkable event—the World Yoga Records and Outstanding Community Service Awards, organized in collaboration with the Sri Patanjali Yoga Foundation and Deepa Oli Foundation. Over 300 students from various schools participated in yoga sessions led by Dr. P. Selvaraj, director of Kingdom World Records, emphasizing the benefits of yoga for physical and mental health. Successful Eye Check-Up Camp in Uthumalai Panchayat

A free eye check-up camp, jointly organized by Voice of Tenkasi Foundation, Thamarai Foundation, and Shankara Eye Hospital, was held in Uthumalai Panchayat of Tenkasi District. Foundation volunteers have coordinated efforts for this event.

Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission Group-4 mock test for rural students organized by Voice of Tenkasi Foundation

Voice of Tenkasi Foundation, in association with the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission, is organizing free mock tests for rural students preparing to sit for the TNPSC Group-4 competitive examination. The first mock test, held on April 28 at Sankarankovil, saw the enthusiastic participation of 463 individuals.

The second sample exam is scheduled for May 2nd, and the third sample exam will take place on June 3rd, both running from 10 am to 1 pm. The venue for these tests is the Gomathi Ammal Matriculation High School in Sankarankoil.

These mock tests aim to provide rural students with valuable practice and preparation opportunities for the TNPSC Group-4 exam.

Community Welfare Initiative by Voice of Tenkasi Foundation

A discussion meeting, chaired by Mr. Ananthan on behalf of the Voice of Tenkasi Foundation, was convened in Sankarankovil. With the aim of safeguarding the public from the scorching summer heat, water and buttermilk pavilions were erected in public gathering spots across the districts. Additionally, a consultation camp was organized to guide rural students who completed their tenth and twelfth standard exams on pursuing higher studies. The event also served as a platform to elucidate the welfare schemes offered by both central and state governments in rural areas, and to facilitate access to eligible beneficiaries. Furthermore, discussions were held regarding the establishment of free service centers in both rural and urban locales. The meeting witnessed active participation from members of the Voice of Tenkasi Foundation, volunteers, and social activists.

Voice of Tenkasi Foundation organized a complimentary NEET coaching class for aspiring students gearing up for the NEET examination. The session, held at Rajapalayam, aimed to provide invaluable support and guidance to students in their preparation journey for this crucial medical entrance exam. Led by experienced instructors and seasoned professionals from the field, the coaching class offered comprehensive insights into key topics, exam strategies, and effective study techniques tailored to meet the rigorous demands of NEET. MoU signed for upskilling youth from rural areas in Tenkasi region

The Voice of Tenkasi Foundation (VoTF) and ACIC-Kalasalingam Innovation Foundation (ACIC-KIF) have formed a strategic partnership to boost innovation, skill development, and rural entrepreneurship in the Tenkasi region. Through this collaboration, VoTF will focus on community outreach while ACIC-KIF will provide infrastructure, technological support, and academic expertise. The memorandum of understanding (MoU), signed by the respective directors, outlines a commitment to empowering rural communities through initiatives such as career guidance, skill development, and support for rural startups. VoTF, founded by Ananthan Ayyasamy, aims to equip the younger generation in rural Tenkasi with employable skills, while ACIC-KIF, established with the support of Atal Innovation Mission, NITI Aayog, and the Government of India, strives to promote economy, employment, and community-oriented innovations.

Voice of Foundation Tenkasi Launches Free Spoken English Classes for Rural Students

Tenkasi Voice of Foundation is offering free Spoken English classes for rural students in Tenkasi District, benefiting both government and private school students. These 12-week sessions, led by specialized teachers, focus on conversational English. The training centers are located at four different schools and run from 4 pm to 6 pm every saturday, catering to students from class 6 onwards. It is held at 3 different centers.

Over 60 patients received eye screenings, diagnosis, and treatment, with nine undergoing cataract surgery at Krishnan Kovil Hospital. National Scholarship Mock Test Organized by Voice of Tenkasi Foundation at Puliyangudi

Voice of Tenkasi Foundation organized a mock test for the National Scholarship for eighth-grade students in Puliyangudi. Students from Government Girls School, Swayambulingam High School, and Kaithe Millat High School participated in the mock test. Over 200 students took part, with prizes awarded to the top three performers. This exam offers a scholarship of 48,000 rupees for four years, at a rate of 1,000 rupees per month, for eighth-grade students under the central government scheme. The purpose of this exam is to raise awareness among school students.

Free Eye Treatment Camp in Melaneelithanallur

A free eye treatment camp was organized by Sankara Eye Hospital on behalf of Ananthan Ayyasamy, the founder of Voice of Tenkasi Foundation, at Union Panchayath Melaneelithanallur. More than 130 people participated in the eye examination at the camp, and 30 of them were subsequently sent for surgery.
